Boots Experimentation.

After researching football boots I placed them on a still life table this would maximise the brightness of the image.. I used bowen lighting which has given the shine toward the back of the boot with gives a really great effect, I used these lights throughout the photoshoot.

I dont like this image as much because the boots are not positioned correctly, we were constantly changing the light moving it in throughout different angles to see what would look better.

I like the way the boots are positioned though.

This image i like as well, i think that the angle of which the camera is at is interesting and keeps the eye soldiery on the boots.
If i was to improve this image i would change the background and brighten it more and also to move the camera downwards (as in tilt) so it can be focused more in the middle of the picture more.

For this photo I decided to lower the camera
so it was on level to the floor of the boot.
I like this angle because it looks different and
move effective than all of the rest of the images.

I like the way this has been photographed also, I like the distance what the camera is from the boots and that it is well balanced as it is not too much to the left and not too much to the right.

I have changed the lighting so the background is brighter so you can see the boots clearer and it is more appealing.

This Image is similar to my other because the camera is at the level of the boot. I like this image more than the other because the distance is closer to the boot and also I like how there is a little reflection under the boot which makes a nice effect.

If I was to change my idea  or make any improvements on this image I would definitely change the background colour to see what it would look like, (if it would be better or worse) and to definitely change the brightness.

Sport Boot Research/ Ideas Inspiration

SPORT IDEAS & INFLUENCES

For more experimentation I uploaded my sport photographs and whilst taking them I was thinking, ''How can I image these to look different to all the other types of boot photographs?''
I have been researching football boot photography looking at how the same object can be photographed differently each time.

I have been looking at these images and I have chosen 7 separate images what come to my attention, everyone different, when looking on the internet I notice that around 85% of the images of football boots are photographed faced forward and full front. Many of these boots are photographed so that the boot is facing away from the camera and that the other boots bototm of the shoe is facing the camera so the customer knows what the studs are like.

I have noticed with this perticular photograph that it stands out more because of the area it has been shot at. Normal football boots are shot in a studio or perhaps on a pitch to advertise why they would look so good being worn, but these boots have been photograohed inside a stadium and unlike the others except oneit hasd been shot at night time, They have used good lighting techniques aswell as having the floodlight on in the back ground.

This advertisement for Nike has showed the audienced a different way of photographing the boot; It has gone for a main vuiew of the side but instead of flipping the other boot over to show the stud it has took other photos of the boots at different angles and then has placed them all in a small box in the corner of the image, this is a good idea but I think the box in the corner should be bigger if they were wanting to see more detail of the boot.

This boot image is different and quite similar aswell to the other images. as ormal the boot angle ramins on the side but they have placed the other boot half facing us with the bottom half of the boot (studs showing) against the other boot. I think this is a godo idea because it gets straight to the point of what you are supposed to be
looking at and also it is simple to look at.

This is an image what I think is better for the boots to be advertised in, I think it really refreshens the image rather than constantly looking at the boots in a studio. I think that the idea of shooting these boots whilst on a player is a much better idea, you get more of the feel of them and when you see them on their foot you want to wear them yourselves!.

I like this image because of the simplicity of it.. I like how the lighting is on the tip of the boot to really expose the colours of this shoe, I think I will be taking ideas of this image and instead of putting one shoe there I will be puttin 2 instead at similar to oppositie angles.

I really like this image simply because of the colours in it. I love how everything is clean on it and I am going to try and interpret the cleanliness in my images as much as possible even though I wont be shooting brand new boots. I like the way the image is photographed how they are took at the back and shot forwards, you might not see the full detail of the boot and whats on it but its a plain design so they havent really kept the customer and audience in the dark.

Extra Weather Experimentation.

This is a image of something I encountered when changing the image size to panormaic for this image. I was slightly annoyed because it was going to cut off some of the image and make it smaller than it was but the final outcome wasnt actually as bad as I thought it would be.

More Still Life Experiments.

When I first brought my ornaments into the studio I came up with a great idea about how ib was going to photograph them and what the outcome was going to be like.. I then through out the shoot wanted to do more silhouetting of the animal because I thought that would look better.. but through out the shoot with those ideas my freat plan and ideas didnt really have the same outcome I wanted it to have.

This is one of the images which i think is strong.. I think that the position of it is well and I also like these type of images because of the huskness of the shadow on the side, I think to improve this image I should have picked a better animal which had a better shadow which can really excell.

The thing about this image as well is that you have to edit the box it was standing on as it is not perfectly painted white and if this was to be left how it is and have no editing made to it then it could be a distraction to the viewer of the image.

I then started to focus on the animal that I liked the most, the elephant on its own..

When I first started taking photographs of my still life I wanted the elephant to be on its own as there was so much to look at..

This was the first image I wanted to talk about, I used the elephant and moved it closer to the camera and more distant in other shots.

My next image made me think of a radical change, I thought to myself I wanted to do something a bit more spicy and normal.. I wanted to create a scene of imagination where you wouldnt normally see this happen..

I had a thought and placed some cotto bud under the elephant which took me back to a earlier piece of work i was working on called 'winter seagull' I thought that I would put this elephant in the same conditions and give the viewer a different look on elephants..

As per I have experimented with composititons what it is like with the ornament far away and close up to give a bit of variation..

With the cotton wool in place then i started to take the photos of the elephant at the side and mainly in the middle and I lowered the camera down to its level so it felt like were were on the same level terms.

I think if I had the camera positon above it looking down or from the side a little bit higher, the feel of the make up environment wouldnt real exist. But thinking of ideas now if I did have the camera facing down like an animal shot surroyunding by this snow looking area it would look like a panormaic but the whole scene would have to be convered in cotton wool otherwise it would just look like a studio floor.

These images are screen shots from me editing the images. I have turned the elephant into a almost looking winter wonderland shot. I added the creative snow to the image and deep dark frost feeling. When I continued to edit this image I noticed you could add little bits of animation to the image so I decided to play around and see what it'd be like with them on.. I think it works really well and would maybe consider using the image below as a real image. Not just an experiment.

Abstract Experimentation

This image is the original image of one of the final 6 of my Abstract images. at first I was apprehensive of choosing this image because I want to show people something that they dont know what theyre looing at, but with ther ideas and help they made me see that this image can be portrayed as abstract and my editing has proved that slightly more.

I then changed the image size into what i wanted it to be as big as, 20x16. After this I asked for some assistance which kead me to get rid of some distractions on the image and to clean it up a bit. I uploaded my image on photoshop and used the Stamp button.. doing this I would correctly copy and paste a part of the step and go over where the mark was making sure it looked exactly the same as the other texture and pattern of the floor.
I also re touched the image by contrasting the image so make the rains darker inbetween which really gave the Monochrome look great.

                          This is my final image

This abstract image was taken well i thought, the different angle it has been taken at as well as it shows the textures,

When I was editing this image I thought I would change the colours of the object to see what it would look like,I have finally decided to go for this colour as it can swing off any speculation of what this picture really is.

When eduiting my images Steve mentioned to me and asked what ISO and F stop my images were I then went on photoshop and clicked on something where it showed you what camera controls the camera was under at the time.

Flower/ Nature Re-Sizing Images Experiments.

When I went to edit this picture and to change the size image I wasnt sure wether to change the size image to a smaller one and crop out the bits at the side, I went on the crop button on Photoshop which is (shown above) and the result of the image the (shown below)   (continued underneath)

As you can see the image has been significantly sized smaller and I wasnt sure wether to keep this image like this or to change it back to what it was. I liked the focus of the plant though as you can see underneath and it give sit ore focus and attention onto the flower.
The only thing I dont like as well is the actual shape and look of the image. I think it looks really small and square. which is maybe what its supposed to look like but theres something about it what isnt really taking my fancy.

In the end I have chosen to go for my original picture because the shape of it is just better, even though I had to crop it down to fit the poster size I managed to get the side bits in what really matter.

Final Image and Original Image:

The same principal applies this image as well, there is allot going on in the photo of the same thing that I wanted it to be all included but I wasnt sure wether to or not or to crop some out of it.

As you can see, the screen shot above is what it would look like if it was 20 x 16.. this would mean that half of it would be crpped out and would just look like a frame photo.
My next idea would be that i would change it to a panoramic image which then would at least get most of the image from either side and the middle.
                              The outcome is underneath.

As the photo shows i struggled re sizing this image becayse it was going to cut out some of the side duck. I worked out with Steve that one way or another the bird would have to get cut out, but now it has i dont think that its a major set back because the main focus of the picture is on the chicks.
