Weather Experimentation and Final Images.

 WEATHER - SNOW

For this weather category i found it hard to choose how i would take my photographs like professionals did because their photos are from different countries and the close countries the weather are snow conditions so it will be quite a hard task for me to create a realistic looking image from the weather i am given here in Burton.

I was editing a few images on a website when i noticed you can add an 'winter wonderland' to the picture. looking at researchers such as Peter Cairns his images vary from still weather to pouring rain to fog.

I decided to take the image of a seagull which i took from Australia and edit it looking like it was in a blizzard more than a hot location. with a few touches of some extra snow i found myself looking at a blizzard background which was still colourful.

I then decided to change the saturation and temperature of the image so it would make it look like the conditions the animal was in was freezing.

When i turned the temperature down I realised it gave it a type of blue look which was very similar to freezing looks as blue represents cold, but it didnt look right, with this i turned down the saturation slightly which then made it perfect.

This was the starting image, ^ and this is the final image.

I have also done another edit which shows the bird flying in winter but the tone is in sepia and not black and white. although the sepia tone is effective i dont think it works aswell as athe black and white because it doest really represent this christmas/snnowy feel.
