More Colour Experiments

I had decided that I wanted this flower image in my Colour category.. When I first edited the photograph I wanted it to be a bit more vibrant so I then chose to multiply the saturation up which makes the photo instantly colourful, I then thought to myself well the background itsself isnt a vibrant as the man image so I wondered what itd be like to bring the focus foully on the flower which is spectacular.

I then had an idea to add another layer to the image and then change the background to black and white. I would then get a brush and carefully go around the flower colouring back in the main flower, as I am not greatly experienced with photoshops i found whenever I made a mistake the eraser didnt make the image return black and white it made it black so i could only undo my work.. I then decided because I had mistakenly continued with keeping some green leaf parts in the image I decided to go round in a circle shape including them in the image. (as shown left)



I then got the original edited saturation image up and the edited photoshop one and placed them side by side and asked myself which one would look better in either my portfolio or my assignment work. I have gone for the image on the right because however much eye catching the one on the left is i prefer the right because ersonally it looks more tidier.

With the image above, when Ichanged the size to 2-x16 i would find that it would cut most of the image out which is not what I  wanted to happen so i would have to rotate the image from 90degrees to a 180degrees so that it would fit the image, I also found out that i could have another size which sometimes benefitted the image.
